Hair Ott & Masterclass Academy are on a mission to encourage 87 hairdressing companies (salons, manufacturers, publications, coaches…) to sign the Menopause Workplace pledge before the Menopause Awareness Day on October 18th.
Why 87? According to the National Hairdressing and Beauty Federation (NHBF) 2022 survey, 87% of the hairdressing industry workforce is female.
3 out of 4 women experience Menopause and Perimenopause symptoms, and 1 out of 4 experience severe symptoms, including suicidal thoughts. These symptoms cause women to reduce hours, pass over promotions and even leave work.
We want this conversation to start in our industry and smash the stigma.
