This week, Megan (Cosham), Lucy & Maxine (Whiteley) started their Master Colour Expert (MCE) journey, one of the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious colour programmes.
The course is equivalent to a 12-month intensive Master’s degree in colouring, giving our team in-depth knowledge of science, colour, and hair structure, and a strong understanding of how to solve colour problems.
The course is divided into four stages, and a timed exam takes place in the second stage, with a minimum pass rate required to continue to stages 3 and 4. They will be assessed throughout all stages of the course, including practical days spent working alongside guest artists to gain inspiration and colour techniques. The final practical exam must score 85% or more to be awarded the title ‘Master Colour Expert’.
Once qualified, they join a prestigious group. Patrick, Kelly, Jess and Nicky in our Whiteley branch; Lauren, Cat and Kelly in our Cosham branch; and Ali, our Head of Education at Masterclass, are already established MCEs.
